Accommodation Requests for Standardized Exams

Students who currently receive accommodations at UA, and who wish to request accommodations on a standardized or credentialing exam, may request assistance from ODS.  Please note that student records are not maintained longer than 5 years following last contact, and ODS cannot provide documentation or verification of accommodations in those cases.

In most cases, it is not required that you provide accommodation verification from ODS.  If you do need ODS assistance, here are some things to keep in mind:

  • Begin the process early. It is recommended that you request assistance from ODS a minimum of 4 weeks before you plan to register for the exam.  Also, be sure to plan for the time it may take to obtain updated documentation, if necessary.
  • It is your responsibility to review the application, documentation requirements, and procedures related to the exam.  While ODS can assist by providing you with copies of your documentation or verification of your accommodations, it is your responsibility to complete and submit all paperwork.
  • Please note that accommodations on standardized tests are not granted or approved by ODS. While ODS can assist in applying for accommodations, the decision of which, if any, accommodations to grant rests with the administering body.  The administering body may have different documentation requirements than ODS, and sometimes it is necessary for students to obtain updated documentation.

Locate your exam below and follow the instructions for requesting ODS assistance.
