Accommodations are initially determined for specific classroom or online settings. As students near degree requirements involving clinical or internship experiences, they should contact their Accommodations Specialist to address any changes in their needs.
Accommodations for experiential requirements are assessed individually, considering the student’s needs, program requirements, and placement site. This involves communication with both the student and the coordinator. ODS ensures that accommodations do not fundamentally alter program requirements or pose health or safety risks.
If reasonable and appropriate accommodation is approved, ODS will notify the coordinator, who will work with the student and the site to implement the accommodation.
