Register with ODS

To request accommodations, students self-identify to ODS, complete an application, and submit disability documentation.  ODS staff evaluate documentation alongside the student’s self-report to determine eligibility.

Students are encouraged to begin the registration process after committing to attend UA.  While there’s no deadline, early registration is recommended.

The registration process can be completed entirely online.

  1. Online Application

    Log in to the ODS Online Portal with your myBama username and password to complete an application.

  2. Upload Documentation

    Review and share documentation guidelines with your provider or evaluator.

    Upload documentation with your application. It will be reviewed within 5 business days.

    Let us know if you have concerns about obtaining documentation.

  3. Check your UA Email

    Once documentation is reviewed, you will receive an email outlining next steps. If we need to meet with you, virtual or in-person appointments can be scheduled.

  4. Accommodation Letters

    You will receive instruction on how to send accommodation letters to your instructors.

  5. Follow-up

    Stay in touch with instructors and your Accommodations Specialist to clarify how accommodations will be applied.
