Exam Accommodations and Proctoring
- Review online and in-person exam proctoring options and scheduling procedures. Note: Distance learners are not proctored at the ODS Testing Center but may elect to use UA Online Testing Services’ in-person proctoring.
- Create your Smarter Proctoring account early so accommodations can be added. Don’t schedule exams until you’ve received a confirmation email from UA Online Testing Services (onlinetesting@ua.edu).
- Verify with your instructor that your accommodations have been added to Blackboard. Alternatively, you may receive an email from UA Online Testing Services (onlinetesting@ua.edu) that accommodations have been added in your proctoring portal.
- If your exam is near and you haven’t received a confirmation email, contact UA Online Testing Services (onlinetesting@ua.edu) and CC your instructor.
- If accommodations are missing when you begin an exam, stop immediately and contact your instructor and Accommodations Specialist. Please note: Extended time will be visible in Blackboard, but you won’t see extended time reflected in Examity until you sign in to begin the exam.
